My dad took me here on my first day home after being overseas. I went with the "French Dunk" with tots & a root-beer. Great sized sandwich, perfectly cooked and meat sliced the way it should be. The bread was good and the dunk was tasty! Comes with your choice of tots or fries so and went with the waitresses pick... the tots came out golden!
Service with a smile, nice clean place with plenty of screens, nothing blasting loud, seating can be cozy or open, people around me all seemed to be happy and having a good time, just like you'd expect in a good restaurant/bar.
All the food I eyeballed looked delicious! I need to get back here so I can try the rest of the menu... and I will soon!! -

My wife and I cam for dinner. I am a huge fan of fish and chips so I ordered that. The fries were amazing! Not just the simple crinkle cut or shoestring or jojos. They tasted good and were fried to perfection. Unfortunately I can't say the same on the fish. The coating was thick and very heavy. Definitely more batter than fish. Tasted fine but I have had way better.
My wife had the schnitzel. It had two huge pieces plus mashed potatoes and veggies. It tasted good but once again, the coating was thick and heavy.
The biscuit tasted fine but it was savory. I think it had dill on it. But it came with some strawberry jam. So I was surprised at that.
Wait staff was very nice. Decor was nice but dark. I had to hold the menu up to sunshine coming in through the window to be able to read it. We were seated in the middle of the room.
Nice beer selection and at a good price. Would go back for happy hour and not order any fried food. -

First off, the good things are the decor and the wait staff. Both were lovely. She really pushed the mimosas but since this was a work lunch, that was off the menu. :)
Unfortunately, the food was meh at best. The little biscuit that came before the meal was the best part! Yummy but was not served with butter or jam or anything. I had the mac n cheese. It looked gorgeous! And then I dug into it. It was weird and tangy. None of the 3 of us like it. Another had the rueben chop salad. She didn't even eat a third of it. her comment was that it wasn't worth the calories. The last thing was the chicken tenders with fries. The fries were limp and obviously came pre-frozen, The tenders were very bland and also seemed like something that came prefozen with panko breading.
I am sorry to say we will not be dining there again. -

Bland food. We came here for our cheat day from our weeks of dieting and felt like we were the ones that got cheated.
We came in on a monday for happy hour and tried some happy hour items: poutine, bangers and mash, wings, and a bunch of beers. Turns out that the import beers are not on HH, just the domestic and "craft beers". Poutine was ok, bland gravy. Cheese curds weren't really hot and the wings were the fattiest pieces of meat ever. Blubber that you had to peel off. The bangers and mash was ok, but the potatoes were also very bland. HH food items are $6 which is cool and there's variety so... it's not too terrible to complain about.
We also split the pub burger. It was also ok, something to eat just to get full. The bread on it was good.
Pros: good beer variety, nice HH food variety, our server Ben was cool and helpful. If it wasnt for Ben, probably would've given 2 stars.
Overall, it felt like an irish version of a typical diner you'd find connected to a bowling alley/ casino. Which is really sad, because they got everything on point; prices, decor, interior space, staff... just add more flavor to the food. -

Would never return to this establishment. Food was horrible. Service was friendly but bad. Got my order wrong, no big deal but asked for more coffee and jelly for my toast while I waited for it to be remade. Server forgot to bring any of it back. Would not recommend this place. Pictures don't do justice for how bad the food looked and tasted.
